Must you love your JOB or LOOK for a JOB you LOVE?

Do you have to love your job or do a job that you love? This is a topic that has been discussed many times especially among Gen Z’s. We have been made to understand and believe that we have to love our jobs, and others have advocated for people to chose careers and jobs that they love. To answer this question we simply have to go back into history. Did human beings historically gravitate towards jobs that they loved? Or did they aspire to work in jobs that they loved? The answer is no. Working has always been for survival. Humans have become more advanced and many of our systems have become very complex. But our primary biological gravitation remains unchanged. Given the opportunity, no one will choose to work. That is the fact. If we are given the opportunity to be paid salaries without working, majority of us will choose not to work. That is proof that no one really loves their jobs as much as they try to convince themselves and others. —Ofcourse there are always exceptions to the rule but they are not the ones I am talking about.— The point of this argument is for you to understand the basic principles and rules of human existence based on the historical predisposition of humans. Work/Job has always been for our survival. Any other thing/reason is secondary. Therefore, you don’t need to love your job. But that does not mean you have to be lazy or do it anyhow. Understanding that your job is for your survival means you do it well, so that you can continue to sustain yourself. Again, it means you don’t have to get into the fantasy of searching for a job that you love. That idea is reserved for those who can afford such luxuries. You have to understand the primary reason why jobs exist in the first place. It is not for your luxury. It is for your survival first. With this understanding, you will, at least, stop despising jobs that you feel are below you and start looking at jobs/work within a “human survival perspective” instead of a “Self Actualization perspective” reserved for those who have that luxury. It means if you have a degree but cannot find a job in your field, you can start selling Indomie because you need to survive first. Don’t spend all your previous years chasing a dream that may never materialize.
